Private Complaint Inspector - Hamilton County

Inspects assigned drain projects during construction or reconstruction, including monitoring for compliance with codes and specifications, discussing problems with contractors, negotiating and recommending change orders to Drainage Board as needed, issuing stop-work orders for unresolved violations, completing field reports, and reviewing contractors' requests for payment. Assists in finalizing drain projects, including conducting final inspections, and generating punch lists for contractors/engineers/developers and other interested parties.

Engineering Technician, MS4/Permits - Hamilton County

Coordinates job activities with Project Engineer, including assisting with department planning and programming activities, performing/assisting with surveying and design, and consulting with Project Engineer regarding department priorities, scope, and objectives. Reviews and approves regulated drain easement encroachments. Researches courthouse records for property deeds, secondary plats, recorded surveys, easements, right of way descriptions land and covenants as needed.

MS4 Manager - City of Mishawaka

Responsible for the implementation of the NPDES-MS4 storm water permitting program. This position requires knowledge of the NPDES-MS4 storm water rule as well as a basic understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, storm water modeling, regulatory agency permitting, data management, erosion control practices and effective methods, construction methods and others.   Must use independent judgment in administering program policies, goals and administrative enforcement action for construction and post-construction.  Responsible for city-wide FOG compliance, compliance reviews, and administrative enforcement action for all City issued food licenses. Reports to the City Engineer/Director of Engineering and accepts assignments from both the City Engineer/Director and Assistant Director.

GIS Analyst - The Polis Center at IUPUI

The Polis Center is looking for a GIS Analyst to support our projects related to crisis informatics and environmental resiliency. The analyst will primarily work on our FEMA Risk MAP efforts. The analyst will mainly focus on data development, incorporating flood and related data into FEMA’s Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) spatial database. This requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of GIS, especially using Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop products. The analyst may assist in the Risk MAP Discovery process, which requires pulling together various datasets for a community and participating in meetings with community stakeholders. At times, the analyst may be involved in other projects in support of the Polis Center’s Geoinformatics team
