Senior Environmental Manager

The Environmental Manager a senior-level environmental manager providing expertise in the areas of developing, coordinating and implementing within respective program areas, as well as providing administrative and technical support to public, state and federal offices and industries.This position resides within the IDEM Office of Water Quality, Watershed Assessment and Planning Branch, Watershed Planning and Restoration Section. The successful candidate will provide grant management services to central Indiana and will serve as the Nonpoint Source Technical Expert on statewide projects such as tracking Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and Watershed Management Plan implementation activities in watersheds across the state and serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, including the TMDL program, Clean Water State Revolving Load Fund, National Water Quality Initiative, and source water interests.

Stormwater Compliance Manager

Smith and Syberg is conducting a search for a Stormwater Compliance Manager for a highly successful general contractor located in Central Indiana.  The Stormwater Compliance Manager will assist in the development, evaluation, and approval of stormwater, land disturbance, and floodplain plans.  Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation for the purpose of erosion and sediment control inspections and Best Management Practices (BMPs).  The successful candidate will have knowledge of stormwater management, experience developing SWPPPs, and an understanding of federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Plan Reviewer for Hamilton County Surveyors Office

Duties: Reviews construction plans of assigned projects for compliance with technical quality standards and state and local codes, and identifies aspects that directly affect drainage. Reviews hydraulic calculations and various documents for relevant project information, such as primary and secondary plats,  project narratives, correspondence and meeting notes of other local agencies/boards/municipalities, and various department maps, such as adjoining primary and secondary plats, flood plain, storm sewer, water shed and geological survey maps.
